Daphne-Lorraine Chinfloo (Undergraduate)
Chancellor's Award Recipient
Chinfloo is the undergraduate recipient, and has been a leader whose impact is measured by the voices she has empowered and the systems she has transformed. Chinfloo was recognized as both a Niblock and Gilman Scholar, the latter of which helped her represent the University in Taiwan. Chinfloo served as a resident advisor for three years, also working as a Niner Guide and a mentor for Students Achieving First-Year Excellence, where she was named Mentee of the Year. She is also a graduate of the Emerging Leaders and LeaderShape programs.
Chinfloo also leaves a transformative legacy through her visionary leadership of the Black Student Union, rising through the ranks from freshman representative to president. Under her guidance, the BSU became a hub of campus-wide collaboration, and the shift in culture led to the org being recognized as 2025 Student Organization of the Year and receiving the Organizational Excellence Award for two consecutive years.
