Bryan Lopez Villanueva

University Commendations for Leadership and Service Recipient

Bryan Lopez Villanueva graduated this spring, earning degrees in Finance, Accounting, and International Business. Bryan left his impression through his in-depth commitment to the LatinX Student Union. Founded during the summer of 2020 initially to support Latino students during the pandemic, Bryan served this organization as Logistics Coordinator, President, and lastly as Director. He created a first and second-year internship program, developed the first student organization, Path for member development in Niner Engage, created a newsletter that is sent out to over 500 organizational members, and advocated for policy changes, programming, and resources to support the needs of Latinx students. He was recognized for his efforts as the 2023 Student Organization Leader of the Year. Bryan was also a member of the Business Honors Program, interned for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus in Washington, D.C., and completed the prestigious Harvard Summer Venture in Management Program.
