The Office of Identity, Equity and Engagement (IEE) will host a virtual Green Table Talk — a play on Red Table Talkhosted by Jada Pinkett-Smith on Facebook — on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
This open discussion about racial injustice will feature five IEE staff members and will give students an opportunity to learn more about the office, meet the staff and hear about how they are navigating the current social climate regarding social injustice as individuals and as a team.
“As a staff with many different intersecting identities, we will speak from our personal lens on this topic and how we work together to address equity as an office,” said Kimberly Turner, director of IEE.
Students, faculty and staff can tune in to the live chat at 4 p.m., Sept. 9. Participants are required to pre-register for the event using this form. Individuals who register will receive login instructions for the Green Table Talk via email before the program.
