Kaitlin Klotz (Graduate)

Chancellor's Award Recipient

Kaitlin Klotz is 3-time graduate of UNC Charlotte, just earning her Ph.D. in Biology this Spring. During her graduate career, Kaitlin was a Graduate Life Fellow, a member of the Homecoming Niner 9, President of the Society for Advancement of Chicanos, Hispanics and Native Americans in STEM (SACNAS), Treasurer of Biology Sciences Graduate Students, Treasurer of the Biology Graduate Outreach Cub, a Graduate Assistant for Housing & Residence Life, President of the Graduate & Professional Student Government (GPSG), a three year Graduate Teaching Assistant for cell biology, and had a book chapter published in Methods in Molecular Biology last summer. For all of these academic and curricular accomplishments, perhaps what Kaitlin is most known for is her kindness, her humility, her genuine care for others, and the legacy of students she has mentored over the years.
