Veterans Day is observed annually on Nov. 11. This year, UNC Charlotte is honoring North Carolina service members who have fallen with a Roll Call Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 9 a.m. at Veterans Park, located beside Memorial Hall.
“Our goal is to connect veterans of the past, present and future with our campus community,” said Tyler Thomas, VA Certifying Official for UNC Charlotte’s Veteran Services Office.
This event is open to the campus community and is an opportunity for veterans at Charlotte to come together and remember those who are gone, especially with the conclusion of the United States’ involvement in Afghanistan.
