Charlotte's Nova Literary-Arts Magazine, Midas Magazine and Niner Times all received national recognition at MediaFest22 in Washington, D.C., which brought together professional and student journalists and college media advisers from around the country last week.
At the convention, the Associated Collegiate Press announced its Best of Show Awards. Nova was honored as the best literary-arts magazine in the country. Midas placed fifth in the magazine category and Niner Times came in 10th place for its digital newsletter.
Also at the convention, the College Media Association announced its Pinnacle Awards. Nova received an honorable mention for best literary-arts magazine and Midas won third place for feature spread.
More than 500 collegiate journalists and their advisers attended the conference, sponsored by ACP, College Media Association and the Society for Professional Journalists.
