The Swim Club competed against 120 teams from across the US with over 200 swimmers in each event at the National Championship Meet at Georga Tech in Atlanta, GA, bringing home awards and numerous personal record times.
Throughout the year leading up to nationals the team has competed against many teams along the east coast. At these meets, 10 swimmers qualify to compete against the fastest swimmers in the national championship.
UNC Charlotte placed 30th overall with 95 points. The men placed 18th with 85 points and the women placed 64th.
AJ Ayers made finals in three individual events (50 free, 100 breast and 50 breast) and Cameron Bailey made finals in two individual events (50 fly and 100 fly). The teams mixed 200 free relay (AJ Ayers, Jaiden Estrada, Alex Andrews, and Cameron Bailey) qualified for finals and placed 16th overall.
