Veterans Week is coming to UNC Charlotte from Nov. 11-15 to honor the service of military-affiliated students and their families.
Starting with Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11 and going throughout the week, Charlotte’s Military & Veteran Services (MVS) has events on and off campus meant to both celebrate their accomplishments and create spaces for students to connect with both important resources and each other.
“Going along with our goal to expand services to all military-affiliated students, we are excited to bring our resource fair to our Veterans Week programming,” Chris Brasel, director of MVS, said. “This opportunity to facilitate connections to military and veteran service organizations for our students, faculty and staff is a crucial step in successful transition from military to civilian life.
“This is not Memorial Day where we honor our fallen and passed service members. We are here to recognize our veterans’ resilience, support their transition to civilian life and ensure their stories and contributions are remembered.”
